homemade peanut butter

selamat malam semua.. cuaca sejuk betul sekarang ni.. maklum lah musin hujan kan.. nak keluar rumah beli barang pun jadi malas.. hmmm.. okeylah entri kali ni DIY lagi.. jgn marah.. hehe.. entahlah saya ni suka sangat dgn DIY ni.. seronok nak cuba sesuatu yang saya xpernah buat sebelum ni.. sebab tu lah.. apa je yang boleh buat sendiri di rumah tentu saya akan cuba..




homemade peanut butter recipe ni saya ambil dari laman web foodnetwork.com .. banyak resepi yang best2 boleh di cuba.. kalau korang berminat.. bolehlah singgah cuci mata kat sana.. resepi ni simple je.. memang berbaloi buat sendiri.. lagi2 jika 1 family sukakan peanut butter ni.. kalau kita beli yang readymade kat kedai tu pun harganya boleh tahan juga kan.. hehe..





kebetulan banyak stok kacang tanah kat rumah.. xtau nak buat apa.. tu yang guna khidmat en google untuk cari resepi yang sesuai.. bila tgk resepi ni..  teruslah saya buat.. sb bahan2 pun memang dah ada.. okey.. jom kita tengok resepi nya ye..



INGREDIENTS:
  • 15 ounces shelled and skinned AB's roasted peanuts 
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons honey - yang ni saya lebihkan sikit..
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons peanut oil - yang ni pun saya lebihkan sikit.. sb xsuka pekat sangat

 

DIRECTIONS:
 
1.) Place the peanuts, salt and honey into the bowl of a food processor - Process for 1 minute. 

2.) Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Place the lid back on & continue to process while slowly drizzling in the oil & process until the mixture is smooth - 1  1/2 to 2 minutes. - yang ni korang pandai2lah adjust masa.. kurang @ lebihkan masa bergantung tekstur kacang yang korang suka samada nak kasar @ halus..

3.) Place the peanut butter in an airtight container & store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months. 







ROASTED PEANUTS :
  • 2 pounds in-shell raw peanuts*
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons kosher salt
*Cooks note: If eating peanuts roasted right out of the shell, use Virginia or Valencia peanuts. If utilizing roasted peanuts to make peanut butter, use Spanish peanuts as they have a higher oil content. 


DIRECTIONS :
1.) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. 

2.) Rinse the peanuts under cool water to remove excess dirt. Pat dry & place in a large bowl & toss with the peanut oil & salt until well coated. 

3.) Place on 2 half sheet pans, making sure to spread them out into a single layer. Roast in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through cooking. 

4.) Once you remove the peanuts from the oven, let them cool slightly before eating. They will continue to "cook" and become crunchy as they cool. 

5.) If using peanuts to make peanut butter, remove shells and discard. Remove the skin by rubbing the peanuts together in your hands held over a salad spinner, allowing the peanuts and skins to fall into the bowl. 

6.) Once the skin has been loosened from all of the peanuts close the salad spinner and spin until all of the skin has been separated from the peanuts. 

7.) Yield: Approximately 2 pounds roasted peanuts in shell 

* yang ni kalau korang xnak ikut pun xpe.. hehe.. guna jak kaedah biasa yg kita biasa guna untuk roast kacang.. 


 
nampak cam panjang dan susah kan resepinya.. tapi sebenarnya senang je.. mcm saya part roast kacang tu saya buat cara saya.. alah yang biasa kita buat utk roast kekacang.. hehe.. kemudian, resepi sebenar utk buat peanut butter ni campur semua bahan kecuali minyak dalam food prosessor..  kalau xde.. darurat bolehlah guna blender tapi pastikan blender tu xde bau2 lain ye.. hehe.. prosess @ blend lebih kurang seminit.

lepas tu barulah tambahkan minyak sikit2.. kalau campuran kacang sudah sebati dan smooth bolehlah offkan food prosessor tu.. keluarkan & simpan di dalam bekas.. sedia untuk digunakan.. mudah kan..




boleh tahan juga rasanya.. mmg dah hampir2 sama mcm yang jual kat kedai.. hehe.. okeylah.. dah lewat malam ni.. badan pun dah letih.. nak siapkan keperluan anak utk p tadika esok.. so.. entri stop di sini dulu ye.. selamat malam... :)
